  • I indicate every turn or lane change and a lot of commenters here illustrate the exact reason I do. If you don't use your turn signals then I have no idea our cars about to try to share the same space on the road.

  • GM paid back the loan in full including interest! The US government MADE money off the loan and still retains 2B in preferred stock 61% of GMs privately held common shares. How is that a bad deal? Cash in the bank and partial ownership of GM at no cost. The Volt is a casualty of the economy.

  • Bob - I do see the issue, I don't think you understand what is driving the changes. It isn't increasing profit per se, it is staying competitive in a recession when production cost are increasing.

  • High oil / gas prices are used by both sides to push their agendas! Alternative energy becomes more competitive for the Dems and Repubs use it as an excuse drill baby drill.

  • Are you saying you want the oil to run out in 25 years instead??? There will still be oil in the ground for a while but production will drop off while demand skyrockets. Regardless of the supply , neither one of us will be able to afford it in 30 years.

  • We can not drill our way out of high oil prices. The faster we pull oil out of the ground, the faster we will run out. There is a finite amount of oil on this planet and we will all be screwed when it is all used up.

  • Manufacturers reduced package sizes so they don't have to raise prices. The prices of agricultural goods have increased dramatically the last couple of years leaving the food manufacturers to either increase the price or reduce the package size.
